Dawn Littell Obituary

Dawn Marie Littell, 65, of Ashford, Connecticut passed away on April 4, 2024. She was born on November 20, 1958 in Derby, Connecticut to the late Carol M. Woodworth and Richard C. Marino. However, her true lifelong father, Richard A. Littell, provided her with a boundless well of love the moment he welcomed her into his heart.

Dawn spent her formative years in Willington, Connecticut. During this time, she attended Hall Memorial School, where she was a member of the Hall Memorial School Majorettes and an active participant in Brownie Troop 89. Dawn continued her education at Windham High School from 1973 to 1977 where she was widely regarded as being a vibrant soul.

After working at A&P in Mansfield, she devoted much of her life to Mansfield Training School and Woodlake in Tolland, where she forged countless friendships. Throughout her life, she warmly reminisced about the cherished connections she built in her hometown, as well as those she cultivated during her tenure at both facilities.

Later, Dawn continued her deep love for meaningful caregiving in her work with Companions & Homemakers, as well as Visiting Angels. Her other interests included gardening, Harley Davidsons, and rock and roll. Dawn was also known by many for her deep devotion to her daughter, Haley.

Dawn lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be fondly remembered as a beautiful, humorous, and tenacious individual who found joy in simplicity, kindness, and showering her family with boundless love. She provided endless experiences for her daughter, nieces, nephews, and friends. Including trips to Misquamicut, swimming and cooking out by the Natchaug River, as well as camping at Burlingame and Moose Meadow.

Dawn will be dearly missed by her daughter Haley, father Richard, and siblings: Butch (Tracie), Dixie, Debbie (Mike) and Christine, nieces and nephews: Amanda, Joshua, Ashley, Patrick, Brandon and Mikayla. As well as countless friends and family members.

Dawn’s life will be celebrated on a date to be announced. We hope you can join us in honoring her memory!
