Although her needs were few, her interests were many. She was intrigued by most anything and would acquire new interests through new acquaintances. She enjoyed everything from swimming to yoga to plants and flowers to antiques and collectibles. She read books covering subjects from famous paintings to cities abroad.

Shirley touched many lives. She leaves 4 daughters, Diane Parks of Ashford, Nancy Rueb of Coventry, Laura Grenon of Colchester, and Corinne Rueb of Mansfield. She also leaves several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
